Chemical Peel Treatments
Glytone Peels
A chemical peel is a fantastic option that is specifically formulated to rejuvenate aging skin and help prevent future damage. It helps to soften lines and wrinkles, evens out skin tone, and smooths away rough skin texture. This peel is a good place for most people to start but there are two options listed below.
-Mandelic
Mandelic acid is an alphy hydroxy peel derived from bitter almonds. It is a peel that will not cause shedding and that is non-photosensitizing. It is safe to do year round, even in the summer. It rapidly exfoliates dead skin cells and surface debris from the skin. It has antimicrobial/antibacterial properties, making it an excellent choice for all types of acne, including cystic acne and is safe for all skin types. It also loosens blackheads for easy extraction, cleans and refines pores and refines the texture and tone of the skin.
-Hand
The Glytone hand peel is for mild to moderate photo-aging of the hands. It reduces the appearance of dark spots, fine lines, small scars and coarse wrinkles on the hands. It gives an immediate skin brightening effect and improves skin texture and tone. The peel will promote collagen building and is a good treatment to do after an IPL hand treatment to help get rid of any lighter brown spots that did not get picked up by the IPL. It is best done in a series of 2 or 3.
Lira Chemical Peels
Lira Peels are some of the greenest peels on the market right now as green skincare is becoming more in demand. The Lira Peels combine exclusive plant derived stem cell technology, multiple age-defying peptide chains, minerals, potent antioxidants and colloidal gold and silver for their antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Lira treatments go from the mild, non shedding Vita Brite Refresher to the more dynamic Mineral TCA peel, allowing me to help you decide how much you want to peel or if you just want a light refreshing treatment to brighten your skin before a big event!
Lira peels are paraben and polyethylene-free. The Lira Peel system also gives me more peels to choose from for skin of color. Lira peels also use high quality botanical and marine derived ingredients.
In addition, Lira offers the Green Power treatment that can be used on its own or as an add on to some of the Lira Peels. The Green power peel contains an innovative exfoliant: Spongia Officinalis – a microscopic mechanical exfoliator derived from sea sponges that helps with pigmentation, acne and acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains plant stem cells and green tea extract.
PCA Chemical Peels
PCA Peels are peels that have formulas for every skin type and for multiple conditions. The peels offer true customization and each chemical peel is done differently for each patient. Suzy can control how much or how little you want to peel.
The PCA peels can treat hyperpigmentation, Melasma, wrinkles, acne, pseudofolliculits barbae, Rosacea and Keratosis Pilaris. There is also a body peel with a special pre-treatment activator to help make the peel more dynamic.
The PCA peels are self neutralizing and after the peels are absorbed, a custom serum blend will be applied on top, along with moisturizer and sunscreen.
Perfect Derma Peels
This a great peel for ALL skin types. Packed with the Powerful ingredients: TCA, Kojic Acid, Retinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, Vitamin C and the master anti-oxidant Glutathione. There all also boosters for acne and hyperpigmentation/melasma after you do the basic Perfect Derma Peel. It can be used on the face, neck, chest and hands and around the eye area. Great for lines, wrinkles, scars, sun damage and Melasma.
Cosmelan MD Peels
Cosmelan® is a unique combination of active ingredients of proven efficacy that acts on the entire process of spot formation to remove the accumulation of melanin and inhibit the formation of new spots. The Cosmelan® method consists of an in-office depigmenting peel mask which is worn home AND a home care protocol which is necessary to achieve the target outcome. The Cosmelan peel is priced as a system to give you the best results.
For those with an allergy or intolerance to Hydroquinone, there is a Cosmelan system available with a hydroquinone free peel mask and home care system. It is also loaded with Tyrosinase inhibitors and brighteners to treat Melasma and severe hyperpigmentation.
Both systems are appropropriate for ALL Skin types and consultation is necessary. Both the Cosmelan Peel and Cosmelan MD also include 6 months of home care.
There is also the Dermamelan peel with a simpler home care regimen and less time on tissue. It is designed for those with Melasma who have failed lasers and other peels. It is also hydroquinone free. This system includes 4 months of home care in the price.
Cosmelan Pre Care Instructions
Hydroqinone must be stopped 6 months prior to treatment
Stop any retinol, mandelic acid, glycolic acid, and salicylic acid 1 month before treatment.
