Universal IPL Treatments
IPL treatments are used for treating redness, spider veins, sunspots, and rosacea. IPL cannot be used for all skin types, but is FDA approved for Fitzpatrick Skin types I-IV. It is a minimal to no downtime procedure that can be safely used on the face, hands, arms, chest, legs and back for skin rejuvenation. The IPL can also be used for cleanup of smaller leg veins after sclerotherapy or endovenous laser leg vein treatments. Consultation is required if you have never had an IPL treatment. Patients must not be tan to receive IPL.
The treatment feels like the snapping of a rubber band. The IPL has a sapphire chilled tip that helps to minimize discomfort. Some patients choose to do the treatment after a half hour of numbing cream, while others are fine without numbing cream.
Our M22 also has an acne filter that can treat acne on the face, back, chest and neck in a series of treatments done at 2 week intervals on skin types I-IV.
